Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup and Operation:
  • Set up and prepare injection moulding machines for production runs, including installing moulds, configuring machine settings, and loading raw materials.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
  • Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for injection moulding machines.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to product defects, such as sink mark, flashing, or short shots.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and improve product quality.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Optimize moulding processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste.
  • Document process changes and maintain accurate records of machine settings and production data.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and other technicians to achieve production goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in injection moulding setup and operation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting injection moulding machines; knowledge of moulding processes, materials, and tooling.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and document processes.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

  • The role typically involves working in a manufacturing or production facility.
  • May require working in shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on production schedules.
