Job Title: Cashier Company: Shuparshad & Sons Sdn Bhd Location: Cameron Highlands Job Description: We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our teashop team. The ideal candidate will handle transactions efficiently, provide outstanding customer service, and contribute to a welcoming and organized environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections or product inquiries. Answer questions about tea varieties, flavors, and preparation methods. Ensure a positive customer experience by providing attentive and efficient service. Transaction Handling Process customer purchases accurately using the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle payments, including cash, cards, and digital wallets, and provide accurate change. Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and receipts are issued to customers. Product Knowledge and Recommendations Maintain knowledge of the teashop’s offerings, including tea blends, accessories, and gift items. Recommend products to customers based on their preferences and needs. Shop Maintenance Keep the cashier counter clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Assist in maintaining a tidy and appealing shop environment. Monitor and restock tea products, packaging, and other shop inventory. Health & Safety Follow hygiene and safety standards, especially in handling consumable products. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the manager immediately. Team Collaboration Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Support colleagues during peak hours or when additional help is needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a cashier or in the retail/teashop industry is a plus. Strong numerical and communication skills. Passion for tea and an eagerness to learn about tea varieties and preparation. Friendly and customer-oriented with a professional attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Comfortable standing for long periods and performing light physical tasks.
