Job Description:

We are looking for an organized Accounting Officer to manage the financial bookkeeping of our business. The role involves analyzing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting and legal requirements, and preparing budgets.

A successful candidate should have a degree in Accounting, knowledge of accounting principles, and strong administrative skills. The ideal Accounting Officer will contribute to financial efficiency while maintaining accurate records of expenditures and profits.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and other financial data.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and financial accounts regularly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights and recommendations to the Finance Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide support during audits and tax preparation.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and review financial records.
  • Monitor expenditures and profits, providing financial reports.
  • Manage business accounts and prepare financial statements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency with accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
  • Knowledge and competency in accounting principles.
