Key Responsibilities: • Procurement Management: o Oversee the entire procurement process, including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management. o Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery of materials and services. o Monitor market trends and assess potential suppliers to secure the best quality and pricing. • Vendor & Contract Administration: o Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. o Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. o Manage supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost. • Collaboration & Coordination: o Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project requirements and budgets. o Coordinate with remote teams and on-site personnel to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency. o Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and performance metrics. • Compliance & Documentation: o Ensure all procurement processes adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. o Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier evaluations for auditing purposes. o Implement risk management strategies to minimize procurement-related risks. Qualifications & Requirements: • Education: o Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: o Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role. o Experience in the engineering, construction, or related industry is a plus. • Skills & Competencies: o Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. o Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications. o Familiarity with Malaysian procurement regulations and industry best practices. o Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic environment. • Other Requirements: o Willingness to travel for supplier meetings and on-site coordination as required. o A proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
