Key Responsibilities: • Cost Estimation & Budgeting: o Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender documents, and budgets for various civil engineering projects. o Analyze project requirements and provide accurate cost projections. o Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines. • Contract Administration: o Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, contractors, and suppliers. o Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance with agreed specifications and legal requirements. o Process and verify variations and claims, ensuring timely resolution. • Procurement & Cost Control: o Assist in procurement processes, including tendering and subcontractor selection. o Conduct cost analyses and implement value engineering measures to optimize project expenses. o Regularly update cost forecasts and prepare comprehensive progress reports. • Collaboration & Reporting: o Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. o Prepare and present detailed cost reports and analyses to senior management. o Utilize remote collaboration tools to communicate effectively with both on-site and remote team members. • Compliance & Quality Assurance: o Ensure all project activities comply with local construction regulations and industry standards. o Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for audit and review purposes. Qualifications & Requirements: • Education: o Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: o Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or a related discipline. o Proven track record in managing construction budgets, contracts, and procurement processes. • Skills & Competencies: o Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications. o Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. o Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. o Familiarity with Malaysian construction regulations and industry standards. o Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. • Other Requirements: o Willingness to travel for site visits and project assessments as required. o Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, RICS) is an advantage.
