Key Responsibilities: • Project Oversight: o Lead and manage civil engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. o Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocations. o Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery, quality, and adherence to cost parameters. • Team Leadership: o Supervise, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians. o Coordinate remote teams with on-site personnel, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. o Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews. • Technical Management: o Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications. o Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide technical guidance as needed. o Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and national construction codes and safety regulations. • Stakeholder Engagement: o Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to align project goals. o Prepare and deliver progress reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders. o Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors. • Compliance & Quality Assurance: o Oversee on-site inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. o Implement risk management strategies and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies. o Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards. • Travel & Remote Work: o Maintain flexibility for travel to project sites as required. o Utilize remote working tools effectively to manage and monitor project progress. Qualifications & Requirements: • Education: o bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. • Experience: o Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and project management. o Demonstrated experience managing large-scale or industrial projects, preferably within Malaysia. o Proven track record of managing both remote teams and multi-site projects. • Skills: o Strong technical and analytical abilities with proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, project management tools). o Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. o Sound understanding of Malaysian construction regulations and industry standards. • Other Requirements: o Willingness and ability to travel frequently. o Ability to work effectively in a remote and dynamic work environment
