Role: Assist in leading the SAP Technical Support team to deliver an efficient and effective SAP Basis system implementation, maintenance and support activities. Manage the SAP Basis enhancements and projects. Design, build, configure, test and roll-out SAP Basis enhancements and projects, according to agreed deliverables and deadlines. Develop a work culture that fosters service excellence and customer focus. Guide the SAP Technical Support team to deliver support services that meet or exceed the clients’ expectations, with compliance to the SLAs defined by the Service Management team within budget and on time. Design and develop secure and reliable SAP solutions to client in accordance with corporate standards and strategies. This includes planning (ensuring proper work plan with realistic estimates), resource management (ensuring sufficient resources, in terms of both numbers and skills), managing the schedule, managing the costs, managing the risks and managing the overall scope of work. Guide SAP Technical Support team members to demonstrate the required customer service, functional, technical and development skills. May be required to provide support to other IT initiatives on an as-and- when basis. Coordinate and supervise the resources and activities within the SAP Technical Support team. Provide support, guidance and tools for SAP Application Services team to be able to provide effective SAP system implementation and support activities and delivered the services in line with standards and strategies on time and on budget. Manage the budget and project plans for SAP Technical Support team. Design and develop the technical architecture and perform assessments to ensure the overall SAP system and infrastructure meet the business requirements and is technically sound and scalable. May be required to work on pre-defined shift plans and/or be on standby for operations support Manage incidents / problems until resolution. Monitor incidents / problems that have been handed to vendors and ensure users are contacted with resolutions. Establish communication and escalation protocols to ensure timely analysis, resolution and follow-up of issues. SAP Technical Support: Coordinate and supervise the resources and activities within the SAP Technical Support team. Provide support, guidance and tools for SAP Application Services team to be able to provide effective SAP system implementation and support activities and delivered the services in line with standards and strategies on time and on budget. Support the transition team in ensuring that all technical knowledge is captured. Ensure that the site operation teams are fully trained to support the site infrastructure. Perform job shadowing and go-live preparations. Advice the Service Management team /Project Manager on all department related projects on priorities of enhancements, projects and staffing. Service Management and Continuous Improvement: Manage incidents / problems until resolution. Monitor incidents / problems that have been handed to vendors and ensure users are contacted with resolutions. Establish communication and escalation protocols to ensure timely analysis, resolution and follow-up of issues. Evaluate and approve change requests and ensure that the changes made are in accordance with the change management procedure. Experience Needed: SAP Administration New System Installation System Upgrade & Patching System / Performance Monitoring Requirement Gathering Configuration & Testing Security Policy Formulation Root Cause Investigation Performance Enhancement Knowledge in SAP ERP, Solman 7.0 or higher, HR, Hana, BW and BPC and Portal system. Minimum 5 full implementation cycle for SAP system. Knowledge in following Operating System- AS400, Window, Unix/Linux Knowledge in following Databases- DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Hana 1.0 or higher Knowledge in supporting system upgrade and patching, covering the databases highlighted above. At least 5 years of working experience in SAP or other ERP technical support environment. Experienced in working with business processes at regional level to ensure solutions and services takes into consideration cross function and cross border impacts. Ability to communicate with users at various working levels and of different nationalities. Ability to convey information to both a technical and non-technical audience
