Job description - Operating and managing the pastry section to ensure a successful working environment. - Preparing ingredients and handling products and other kitchen equipment. - To be responsible and developing new products of our customers. - Monitoring the stock of raw materials and packaging materials. - Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section, when needed, and within budget. - Ensuring their section adheres to safety and health regulations. -Supervising and training staff members. -Monitoring production and waste control. -Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards. A Pastry Leader will need: - Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field. - Food Handling Certificate - Valid Typhoid vaccination - Minimum 2 years relevant experience - Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process - Awareness of manual handling techniques - Experience of kitchen equipment
