Job Summary
Global Business Services (GBS) drives alignment among business units to integrate
governance, locations, and business practices across the enterprise to achieve transformative
performance improvements. GBS drives collaboration and sharing to improve delivery
efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes. The Asia-Pacific (APAC) Tax and Statutory
Reporting Analyst has responsibility for the local GAAP accounting, tax accounting, local tax
(including transfer pricing) compliance for a cluster of APAC entities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Manage Tax accounting and Compliance
Support the calculation of the tax provision of the relevant local entities.- Support withholding tax calculation and corporate income tax return preparation, including
partners.
- Support in preparation and timely submission of Corporate Income Tax returns and
- Acts as liaison between tax department and internal/external tax compliance resources.
- Support tax audit and compliance, including corporate income tax and statutory tax audits.
- Preparation and analysis of tax accounts reconciliation
- Support transfer pricing compliance and the preparation of adequate and organized input
- Support transfer pricing monitoring and the completion of transfer pricing monitoring files.
- Monitor functional changes / changes that require input from the tax department.
- Support regional tax accounting in collaboration with the Record to Report function
- Collecting information from Shared Service Center in order to fulfill tax and statutory
Manage Local GAAP accounting
Act as a liaison between internal and external local auditors.- Support in preparation of statutory accounts (bridge from US GAAP to Local GAAP),
statutory deadlines
- Support in the timely submission of statutory accounts.
- Support in monitoring/reporting the differences between US GAAP and Local GAAP
- Provide assistance with ad-hoc project tax & accounting advisory work and tasks as
Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)
At least 6 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment is strongly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Less experience for a candidate with the right skill set would be considered.- Experience in working in a multinational organization and within a shared services environment.
- Experience with tax reporting packages (Longview) and transfer pricing is helpful.
- Microsoft Office (Excel) Skills
Education / Experience Requirements
An undergraduate degree in accounting or business is required. Prefer minimum 6 years of work experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Ability to speak in other Asia Pacific languages is a plus – e.g., Japanese, Thai, Mandarin, Korean.
