Teacher of History - A-Level

Adcote Matrix International School (AMIS) is an established international school, located in Seremban, Malaysia. The school is approximately 45 minutes away from the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. We offer a broad and innovative curriculum from Early Years and Primary Cambridge International Curriculum and IPC, Secondary Cambridge curriculum, IGCSE and A Level based on a combination of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge International Curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales.

Due to rapid expansion in the school, we are seeking the following new position for August 2025 or earlier where possible.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated A Level History Teacher to join our team. The primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality history education to A Level students, fostering a deep understanding of historical events while promoting critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging A Level History lessons that align with the curriculum.
• Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages active student participation and intellectual growth.
• Provide both individual and group support, guiding students on coursework, exam preparation, and study techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school leadership regarding academic performance.
• Stay current with developments in history education and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the department.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree in History or a related field.
• A teaching certification (PGCE or equivalent) and experience teaching A Level History.
• Strong knowledge of the A Level History curriculum and exam requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proven ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.

Additional Advantage:

• Experience teaching other subjects such as Geography and Global Perspectives is a plus.
