Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities - Conduct geological surveys to help develop drilling and extraction procedures. - Perform geological research to locate potential mining sites and evaluate them for viability. - Design open-pit or underground mines and supervise construction. - Develop extraction methods to ensure safety and maintain compliance with regulations. - Monitor and evaluate production rates and the quality of material recovered. - Study environmental impacts of mining to find sustainable solutions. - Prepare reports on geological data for other geologists, miners or engineers. Requirements: - Preferably with Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Geoscience - Geologist with at least 1 years’ experience in geological assessment, analysis and writing technical proposals or fresh graduate. - Proficient in the use of geological-related software, as well as knowledge in engineering geology. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), AutoCAD or any relevant geological analysis software. - Independent, demonstrate strong analytical thinking and able to have prompt, open and direct communications with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project expectations. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently. - Candidate must be proactive in problem-solving and have high analytical acumen with an eye for detail is compulsory. Work effectively and cooperatively with others, and maintain good working relationships.
