Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Write and edit high-quality, engaging, and persuasive content for digital platforms, including websites, blogs, email newsletters, and social media.
- Develop clear and compelling copy for advertising materials, brochures, flyers, press releases, and other marketing collaterals.
- Craft engaging scripts for videos, promotional campaigns, and webinars.
- Ensure all written content aligns with the BAC Education Group’s brand voice, values, and key messaging.
- Conduct research to develop insightful and informative content that resonates with target audiences.
Editing & Proofreading
- Edit and proofread all content for grammar, style, tone, clarity, and factual accuracy.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, terminology, and formatting across different communication channels.
- Work closely with designers, videographers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between text and visuals.
Content Strategy & SEO Optimisation
- Develop and implement content strategies that drive engagement and brand awareness.
- Optimise web content for search engines (SEO) and monitor content performance using analytics tools.
- Stay updated with digital trends, industry best practices, and audience preferences to enhance content effectiveness.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work with internal teams, including admissions, academic departments, and student services, to develop relevant content.
- Liaise with external agencies, freelancers, and media outlets for content collaborations and publications.
- Assist in developing communication strategies for events, partnerships, and corporate announcements.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in content writing, editing, and copywriting, preferably in education, media, or marketing.
- Proven experience in developing content for websites, blogs, social media, and advertising campaigns.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong command of the English language.
- Ability to write in a variety of tones and styles to suit different audiences and platforms.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in using AI tools, grammar checkers, and content optimisation software.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creativity and adaptability to develop innovative and engaging content.
Reason for Requirement:
With the expansion of our marketing initiatives, we’ve seen a significant rise in content requirements across multiple platforms; websites (12 websites), email campaigns, WhatsApp campaigns, learning labs, event articles, digital marketing ads and print materials. On average, our content output has increased significantly in the past six months making it difficult for the existing team to keep up while maintaining quality and consistency.
Our current content team has reached a saturation point in terms of workload and creative bandwidth. While they have been instrumental in writing stories, fresh ideas and new writing styles are essential to keeping our content engaging and relevant. A dedicated Content Editor cum Copywriter will bring a fresh perspective, ensure a consistent brand voice, and help us scale our content strategy effectively.
