To plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the operation and maintenance of company’s fleet to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Key responsibilities of Fleet Manager include:
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of fleet vehicle operation and maintenance.
- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
- Planning and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinating drivers and maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and address any issues.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for vehicle use and maintenance
- Managing and tracking GPS, fuel consumption and expenses
- Ensuring compliance with government rules and regulations related to fleet management, such as license, vehicle registration, roadtax, puspakom inspection.
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training.
- Searching for, hiring and training new Drivers
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress.
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
Job Requirement:
- Diploma/Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, or Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and or related field.
- Expert knowledge of vehicle maintenance, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or a related role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with drivers, mechanics, and other team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues.
- Experience with transportation scheduling and fleet management software.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards in logistics and maintenance operations.
- Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
