Responsibility 1 - Provides 2nd level support to customer end • reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritising information and managing projects • Vendor engagement for fault escalation/ system upgrades • remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation • daily configuration of routing and switching equipment • liaising with RnD team, project management team, tier 1 engineers and field engineers on a regular basis • carrying out day-to-day administration and monitoring of network use Responsibility 2 – Respond, identify, diagnose and to resolve Tier 2 (T2) network related issue. Advance IT and network knowledge/skill is required. Staffs need to be able to use CLIENT internal Network Management System (NMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) system hardware/software to analyse and resolve the issue. Work standard – T2 network related issues to be responded and resolved accordingly within committed SLA timeline. Responsibility 3 – Coordinate and manage fault escalation and rectification of T2 and T3 issues to respective vendors/suppliers. Work standard – T2 and T3 network related issues to be escalated (if necessary) to the respective vendors/suppliers within 4 Hours the issues reported and to be closed within committed SLA timeline. Responsibility 4 – To monitor network and system performance and to perform issue analysis. Work standard – Submission of report and analysis (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) to Operation Manager. Responsibility 5 – To plan, provision and upgrade network services. Work standard – Deliver the network services on schedule. Responsibility 6 – To provide pre-sales support to Sales Department/TM/Customer Work standard – Submission of documentations 3 days after the service request. Responsibility 7 – To take lead on planning and provisioning new VSAT services. Staffs need to be able to use CLIENT internal NMS and RF hardware/software to assist Field Support team to bring the new VSAT remote to service. Also required is the knowledge to perform Cross-Polarization Isolation (CPI) test with satellite provider. Work standard – A new VSAT remote should be brought to service within 3 days (Peninsula Malaysia)/5 days (East Malaysia) from the day SO received (shall depend on customer request). Responsibility 8 – To create and maintain documentations for provisioned network services. Work standard – Submission of documentations 3 days after the service provisioned. Responsibility 9 – To participate in 24x7 on-call standby rotation Work standard – Full support during the standby rotation. Requirement Degree in Computer Science/IT/Computer Engineering/Telecommunication Certificate in Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of telco network, network infrastructure and hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Proficient in network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and IP subnetting. Knowledge of network security practices and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS). Experience with cloud-based networks (e.g., AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN technologies Experience with network security practices and tools.
