Job Description · General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, ensuring all journal entries are properly recorded. · Month-End & Year-End Closing: Prepare and review closing entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules to ensure timely closing. · Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS. · Regulatory & Audit Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements. · Tax & Statutory Compliance: Support tax filings, SST submissions, and liaise with tax consultants for compliance matters. · Fixed Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and ensure proper capitalisation of assets. · Variance Analysis & Financial Insights: Support financial planning teams by providing variance analysis and explanations for financial results. · Process Improvement & Internal Controls: Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls. · Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Finance Managers, auditors, and business units to ensure financial accuracy. · Ad-Hoc Duties: Assist in system implementations, financial modelling, and other ad-hoc tasks or duties as assigned by the management Work Hours: 9am to 6pm (1 hour lunch break) Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: · A Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification in Accounting and a professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage - Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken & written) is required to communicate with China-based customers. · Preferably candidates with minimum 2 years of working experience from Audit or at least 5 years in a related role is required for this position. · Strong understanding of MFRS, Bursa Malaysia compliance and tax regulations · Able to concentrate on multiple problems at once · Excellent time management and prioritization skills · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Possess strong sense of responsibility, integrity, able to work under pressure and result oriented · Organised and attention to details · Able to work fairly independently and within deadlines · Good communication skills in English and strong interpersonal skills · Resourceful, fast learner with positive working attitude · A team player
