About the role
Horizon Hotel, a well-established hospitality group, is seeking a talented Duty Manager (Front Office) to join their dynamic team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a full-time Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel's front office, providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the daily operation of the front office, including reception, concierge, and guest services
  • Manage and schedule the front office team to ensure optimal coverage and responsiveness
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Assist with the implementation of hotel policies and procedures
  • Provide training and mentorship to the front office team
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and generating reports

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar front office or duty management role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests and staff
  • Proficient in computer skills, including hotel management software and MS Office applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in other languages is an advantage (Chinese Speaking)
