Driver cum Despatch

We are seeking a highly reliable and experienced Driver cum Despatch to support our ongoing Coastal Road Projects. The successful candidate will be directly attached to the Project Director and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of project vehicles across challenging terrain and coastal areas. This role also includes despatch duties, ensuring the timely delivery of documents, materials, and personnel to various project sites. Work Base: Kuching Projects Office, Rubber Road. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Driver: - Safely operate project vehicles in diverse and challenging environments, including rough terrain, coastal roads, and construction sites. - Transport the Project Director and project personnel, equipment, and materials to and from project sites, ensuring timely and secure delivery. - Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. - Maintain accurate vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records. - Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety regulations, particularly in challenging driving conditions. - Maintain a clean and organized project vehicle. 2. Despatch: - Collect and deliver project documents, plans, materials, and other items to various project sites and offices, specifically as directed by the Project Director. - Ensure accurate and timely delivery and collection of items, obtaining necessary signatures and acknowledgments. - Communicate effectively with project team members and external stakeholders regarding deliveries and collections. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Valid Malaysian Driving License (Class D) with a clean driving record. 2. Strong knowledge of local roads areas in Sarawak. 3. Strong organizational and time-management skills. 4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
