About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join Barisan Gemilang Construction Sdn Bhd as a Quantity Surveyor. In this full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, you will play a key role in the Construction team, providing strategic, high-quality, and cost-effective quantity surveying services to support the company's operations and growth. What you'll be doing - Preparing and analysing bills of quantities, tender documents, and construction cost estimates - Prepare monthly progress claim - Negotiating and managing construction contracts, including variations and claims - Monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines - Providing advice on procurement strategies and supply chain management - Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects - Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements - Maintaining detailed records and producing comprehensive project reports What we're looking for - Based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah - Possess at least Diploma or other professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry - Strong understanding of construction processes, tendering, and contract administration - Proficiency in cost estimation, budget management, and project controls - Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team - Familiarity with relevant construction regulations and industry standards What we offer At Barisan Gemilang Construction Sdn Bhd, we are committed in providing our employees with a stimulating and supportive work environment.
