PRODUCTION MATERIAL ANALYST

"This is a replacement position, filling a previously held role." Materials engineers research and design new or improved materials for a diverse number of applications. They analyse the composition of materials, conduct experiments, and develop new materials for industry-specific use that can range from rubber, to textiles, glass, metals, and chemicals. They advise companies in damage assessments, quality assurance of materials, and recycling of materials.  Oversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities pertain to the strategic planning progress.  Responsible for generation of production metrics, while providing insight and analysis on trends to drive more informed business decisions.  Collect, review, and analyze department reports to ensure strategic goals and objectives are being met.  Review and consolidate production supply models for each plastic type.  Assist in Production Returns and Quality Issues.  Provide department leaders with production information and analysis data as requested.  Drive the budget process to ensure timely, effective and realistic budgets are being submitted.  Work closely with production reporting and developers to understand system requirements and execute solutions to meet business needs.  Work on project teams and provide data and metrics as necessary for review and evaluation to include analysis.  Other duties/projects as assigned.
