Job Purpose: Responsible for the DP, technical management / aspect of the vessel.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
DP Assurance Scope
- Evaluate and ensure DP assurance process are comply by both onboard and ashore teams.
- Organize FMEA/DP Trials/Survey and provide solutions to close the findings. Maintain all records relating to DP Assurance (FMEA, DP Manual, CAMO Annual trials, ASOG)
- Monitor and evaluate crew DP training and competence as per the DP assurance program
- Monitoring, reviewing and make recommendations on DP Requirement in conjunction with Class, Flag state, IMO, IMCA and industry standards.
- Investigate, review DP incidents, and provide corrective and preventive actions
- Liaise with Class and other DP competent authorities for approval
- Liaise with Client and competent authorities on DP related Matters on behalf of the company
- Assist in troubling shooting of DP equipment failure
- Conduct regular Audits and Inspection on DP procedures and equipment onboard. Ensure DP equipment is maintained onboard
- Identify Critical parts for DP system and ensure adequate DP spare are available onboard
- Assist & Coordinate DP projects (New Installation and Modification)
Ship Management Scope
- Monitor and maintain shipboard PMS (Planned Maintenance System) for Hull and Machinery.
- Act as the primary point of contact between vessels and office for technical, operational, crewing, and HSE matters.
- Coordinate and arrange statutory Classification surveys, ensuring harmonization where possible.
- Approve and coordinate the supply of stores, spares, consumables, and nautical equipment.
- Implement ISM and ISO 14001 standards in collaboration with Operations & HSSEQ/Asst. HSSEQ Manager.
- Maintain vessel class status, arrange surveys, and prepare vessels for audits and inspections.
- Assist vessel Masters during audits, inspections, and closing out observations with the Operations and HSSEQ departments.
- Control and coordinate the vessel's technical budget and assist in vessel-specific safety and environmental risk assessments.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and internal ISM/ISPS/MLC audits when required.
- Monitor and verify the closure of deficiencies, report crew grievances, and ensure statutory certificates are compliant.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, not limited to the above responsibilities.
