Job Purpose
Drive, lead and continually improve business development short and long term activities in line with Business and Services Division's overall strategic direction through identifying, evaluating and developing business opportunities, including, and conducting project feasibility studies covering market, customer and product, with the aim to add value to the business and shareholders in realization of PRefChem corporate agenda.
Key Accountabilities
Business Opportunities
- Drive and lead the assessment of potential business opportunities covering the market, customer and product through the established framework, procedures, relevant approach and networking with stakeholders whilst ensuring completeness of the assessment i.e. Pre-Feasibility, Front End Loading (FEL) 1 and FEL 2, and continuous enhancement of the analysis and to come up with a feasible proposal for the opportunity to be presented to the management for decision making.
Business Development and Growth
- Initiate and lead the to identify and integrate business opportunities through an established framework and relevant approach in identification of sources (e.g. data, capabilities and competencies), creatively exploring viability of project approaches, implementation matters and challenges, networking with potential business partners and leveraging on opportunities, risk, commitment and profit potential to develop and proposed the optimal and practical solutions of proposal that support the business growth and improvement of PRefChem.
Development and Establishment of Market and Competitor Analysis
- Drive and lead the scanning, interpreting, assessment of strategic and emerging changes of internal and external business environment through development and establishment of periodical market research andanalysis, as well as through syndications and consultation with stakeholders (i.e. Offtakers, key industry players, business institutions, government and authorities) covering market, customer, and product for PRefChem Management strategy formulation and decision making in order to react timely in avoiding strategic drift and to ensure maximization of value creation.
Intragroup Business Growth and Value Management
- Drive and lead in managing intragroup (i.e. Refinery Company and Petrochemical Company) value management through assessment, development, establishment and monitoring of relevant systems, approach and activities to ensure minimization of value leakage and maximization of value creation of PRefChem.
Corporate Performance and Critical Initiatives
- Drive and lead the development, establishment and improvement of business initiatives which have a mid and long-term impact through assessment of business risk and opportunities, proposal to management and assist or operationalization of the initiatives to seize value, improve and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of PRefChem performance (e.g. operation and management) in line with the company’s strategic fit and long-term strategy.
Stakeholder Management
- Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers in order to keep abreast with the latest development in the alliances to capture opportunities for new business ventures and enhance public confidence in the company business products and services.
HSE Compliance
- Exemplifies a commitment to prioritizing safety and adhering rigorously to OSHA rules and regulations. Must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) in the workplace.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Science/Engineering/ Business Administration preferably in the area relevant to the Business from a recognized institution.
- Between 10-15 years’ operating experience in the downstream or/and petroleum industry
- Minimum 10 years working experience and in-depth knowledge of the appreciation of the role and orientation of top management
