Job Description
- Perform testing and analysis in accordance with the standard/in-house methods and to comply with QA/QC procedures.
- To ensure timeliness, precision and accuracy of analytical results to meet turnaround time.
- Effective implementation and maintenance of MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017, SAMM Policy as well as Group Quality System.
- Adhere to group HSE safety procedures.
- Ensure that information from the clients is kept as strictly confidential and never revealed to the third party.
- Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc are maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule.
- Ensure root-cause of all non-conformities or customer complaints are to be investigated and identified with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- To treat proficiency Testing Programmed or Round Robin seriously and make sure the result obtained is most accurate and precise.
- To train, supervise and monitor lab technicians /Junior Staff with assigned test methods and procedures.
- To ensure all controlled quality procedures, test methods and document are kept confidentially and restricted within SGS premise.
- Practice Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice.
- Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field from recognized university/college
- Minimum 1-4 years’ experience in relevant analytical laboratory however fresh graduates with right and positive attitude are acceptable
