Supplier Quality Engineer
Shah Alam, Malaysia
Job Responsibilities:
Supplier Qualification & Performance Management
- Implement Supply Qualification Module (SQM) and Supplier Performance Management (SPM) for both internal and external suppliers.
- Monitor and report supplier quality performance at the plant level.
- Participate in the Supplier Approval Module (SAM) process and ensure continuous supplier improvement.
Quality Issue Resolution
- Utilize the 8D methodology to implement containment, corrective, and preventive actions for technical part quality issues.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of supplier actions and escalate to the Supplier Quality & Development team when necessary.
Part Qualification & Process Optimization
- Execute Part Product Evaluation Plan (PPEP) within the Product Evolution Process (ROHS, etc.).
- Actively participate in PPEP to ensure qualification and compliance of supplied parts.
- Manage and optimize the incoming inspection policy.
Manufacturing & Technical Expertise
- Ensure the effectiveness of PPEP for all supplies delivered to the plant.
- PCBA, PCB, and semiconductor component knowledge is essential.
- Maintain a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance in a supply chain environment.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge And Skills – Required
- Higher technical education or equivalent (Mechanical or Electrical).
- Good knowledge of the manufacturing processes
- ISO
- PPEP or PPAP
Knowledge And Skills – Desired but Not Essential
