  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Review, draft and negotiate various types of agreements including agreements relating to the acquisition, licensing and production of television content, agreements relating to the acquisition and licensing of software and hardware and miscellaneous services, artist engagement agreements, agreements relating to the various businesses of the Astro Malaysia Group.
  • Provide legal advice to the various divisions in the Company on a range of matters including contract law and intellectual property law.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsels where required and manage any litigation involving the Company.
  • Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with the provisions of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and any other legislation relevant to the business operations of the Company.

Who You Are
  • Degree in Law
  • Called to the Malaysian Bar
  • Excellent understanding of contract law
  • 4 to 7 years of legal practice experience in a legal firm or equivalent (preferably in the field of Intellectual Property related work or Corporate related work or Information Technology related work).
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and find solutions in deadlocks
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent drafting and legal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use MS Word, MS Excel Powerpoint
