JOB PURPOSE:
- Drive, manage, organize, supervise and plan the development of engineering and design throughout all engineering phases in order to support Offshore Business strategies and requirements to ensure delivery of safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective design.
- Administer, develop and monitor engineering and design activities and manpower planning during Conceptual Engineering, Engineering Definition, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Design Engineering deliverables throughout all phases of engineering in a timely and efficient manner.
- Oversee and provide management support to the engineering and design activities led by Engineering Managers.
- Responsible for the approval of the project Engineering Execution Plan (EEP) at Conceptual Engineering, Engineering Definition, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Design Engineering phases.
- Define all engineering and design activities to be performed in the project bidding / proposal in collaboration with Business Development (BD), Corporate Governance & Acquisition (CGA), Asset Management (ASM) and Project Delivery (PD).
- Provide management and technical advice and / or solution during Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance.
- Assume as Engineering Manager for Major Project with high complexity.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with all key stakeholders including Project Manager, Procurement Manager and Construction Manager assigned to the project.
- Develop strategies to facilitate continuous development of engineering project management team capability to meet MISC vision and mission.
JOB EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 18 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Offshore sector.
- Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in managing specific engineering discipline or project management.
- Experience in managing one (1) Major EPCIC project i.e. FPSO and / or CPP with Topside Module over 20,000 MT.
- Experience in Conceptual Engineering, Engineering Definition, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Design Engineering.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Chemical, Naval or other related engineering).
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia, minimum as Graduate Engineer.
- Preference: Professional Engineer / Chartered Engineer registered with recognized professional body.
