Roles and responsibilities:
- Supply, install, test and commission all the PC hardware, software, device drives and OS hardening
- Unlimited fix support within the agreed SLA and support hours
- Responsible and problem owner for all PC related issues and services including network and device connectivity to PCs
- Provide support for PC related areas – ie. network connectivity, printers, scanner, video Conferring & IP Phone at Desktop (soft phone)
- Support Desktop application and service
- Perform diagnostics on problems and to liaise with Cognizant staff as part of support for the Desktop and Notebooks
- Ensure software is installed according to SOE (Standard Operating Environment) and provide support which includes but not limited to: Also let Cognizant staff know if any observations immediately.
- Microsoft, MS O365 and Office products
- macOS
- Anti-virus clients
- Oracle clients
- MS Exchange clients
- ISF clients
- BitLocker
- Any other application clients and office automation tools
- Patch management - to test on all client application/security patches and to deploy patches to all user PCs based on Cognizant staff instructions/SOP
- Migrate user data from old Desktop or Notebook to new Desktop or Notebook
- Perform data backup on Desktop or Notebook as and when requested by users
- Asset management:
- to track and let cognizant staff know to update asset records (hardware and software) including movement and disposal of Desktops and Notebooks
- assist Cognizant in asset disposal activities
- On- need basis flexible to work during holidays and off business hours
