Project Manager - Software - Banking Domain
Functional (job responsibilities)
• Provide project leadership, management & oversight of IT projects involving business consultation,
estimation, planning & management of the technical team to deliver successful solutions.
• Ability to understand design blue prints and requirements documentation
• Ability to drive vendor management
• Experienced in handling RFP would be added advantage
• Assemble project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify & manage appropriate resources
needed, develop & manage schedule to ensure timely execution of project(s).
• Manage project budget & achieve cost targets.
• Oversight of general project tasks, including chairing project meetings to ensure that projects are
proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets & expectations, & adhering to established operating
parameters.
• Plan, schedule & track project timelines & milestones using appropriate tools.
• Develop & execute the project's communication plan.
• Manage project risks & scope & identify & resolve issues which may impact the project results.
• Prepare & report timely project status to appropriate stakeholders.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises & devise contingency plans.
• Establish strong stakeholder relationships to manage any internal & external risks to the project.
• Conduct project post mortems & create a recommendations report in order to identify lessons learned
• Comply with all standard controls & processes, both internally including IT System Development Life Cycle
(SDLC), change management & change control processes, & externally as defined by business/operating
unit processes and most of all, Project life cycle.
• Participate in the development & maintenance of processes, best practices, & templates relating to
business systems analysis, communication standards, & general project management practices.
