JOB SUMMARY
Perform book close and financial reporting for Malaysia legal entity – CMA CGM FiCOM Sdn. Bhd. (FiCOM).
Key Result Areas
- Key person in the recording, analyzing and reporting of financial data of FiCOM in accordance with the accounting standards and Group policies.
- Timely and accurate execution of book close and non-book close activities.
- Support Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) in statutory compliance requirements.
- Support the Centre’s projects, digitalization and process improvement initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute monthly closing activities, i.e. journal postings, OneStream (OS) submission, balance sheet reconciliation, in adherence with the month end closing timeline and checklist.
- Perform analytical review for month-on-month fluctuations in P&L and balance sheet.
- Prepare and issue monthly chargeback invoices with the related costs breakdown and Statement of Account for each customer.
- Initiate and perform cashiering process upon receipt of customer payments.
- Prepare cashflow forecast and monitor bank balance to ensure sufficient cashflow in FiCOM.
- Maintain monthly fixed asset register and work with fixed asset team to ensure addition, disposal and transfer are properly recorded.
- Assist on monthly financial slides analysis and yearly budget exercise.
- Support AFM to ensure compliance with the accounting, tax and business compliance requirements and regulations which may include liaising with auditor, tax agent and company secretary when necessary.
- Assist on local statutory filing requirement including the newly implemented e-Invoicing.
- Assist on any ad hoc related tasks and requests independently.
- Develop and recommend process improvements including automation of work processes as appropriate.
- Back up team member on daily task as and when required.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree holder - Bachelor Degree in Accountancy / Finance or holder of a recognized professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA & etc.).
- Minimum 3-4 years of related / commercial / shared service centre / audit experience in accounting and finance field in various industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power point).
- Proficiency in accounting applications (E.g. SAP or other similar ERP system)
- Financial reporting and analysis skills
- Accounting reporting skills
- Financial Auditing and Tax Knowledge
- Good attention to details & analytical mindset
- Proactive and able to drive and execute financial programs with minimal supervision
- Strong communications skills – spoken and written
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline.
