Group Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Swiss & HK Entity Accounts Management

  • Oversee the full set of accounts for Swiss & HK entities, including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and cash management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing & management reports for all Swiss entities per the closing calendar.
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP, IFRS, and Group accounting policies.
  • Work with external auditors to facilitate financial audits and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure full compliance including tax and statutory submission.
  • Ensure accurate and timely forecasting and budgeting for Swiss & HK entities.

2. Distressed Asset Portfolio (DAP) Management & IFRS Compliance

  • Oversee the accounting of the entire Group Distressed Asset Portfolio (DAP).
  • Ensure accurate monthly reporting, quarterly revaluation, new addition, and internal asset transfers related to DAP.
  • Work closely with Internal Investment Analysts, MIS teams, and Country Finance Managers to gather relevant financial data.
  • Functioning as Subject Matter Expert for all DAP-related accounting treatments comply with IFRS 9 Financial Instruments.

3. Investor Reporting & Compliance

  • Key PIC for investor reporting – responsible for ensuring all monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad hoc investor reporting requirements are met on timely basis, including addressing any follow up questions.
  • Prepare and consolidate reports required by investors and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with investor agreements and financial disclosure requirements.

4. Financial Process Improvement & BAU Support

  • Ensure smooth execution of financial processes and internal controls while adhering to Group policies.
  • Assist in financial analysis, planning, and reporting to support management decision-making.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements in financial processes for Group reporting.
  • Support any ad hoc request assign time to time by finance leaders.

Requirements

  • A recognized Accounting/Finance Degree or relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA etc.
  • Minimum 4 years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Experience in external audit (minimum 3 years as Senior Associate in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm) is preferred.
  • Alternatively, 2 years in an accounting firm + 2-3 years in a commercial finance role (G/L accountant, FP&A, or financial analyst).
  • Have direct experience in month end book closing, preparing and reviewing management reports.
  • Strong technical knowledge in financial reporting, IFRS 9, and consolidation accounting.

Group Assistant Finance Manager

Duties

1. Monthly Closing & Reporting (Acting CFM Role)

  • Lead monthly closing, financial operation, accounting, reporting and compliance related activities as Acting Country Finance Manager (‘CFM’) on behalf of the Deputy VP of Finance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of month end closing & management reports, and key financial deliverables.
  • Work closely with Country Finance Teams to ensure compliance with Group reporting standards and internal controls.

2. Group Intercompany (Interco) Balance Checking

  • Perform monthly intercompany (Interco) balance reconciliations to ensure accurate elimination in Group Consolidation.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in intercompany transactions and balances across entities.
  • Work with CFMs to ensure alignment of financial records between subsidiaries.

3. Investor Reporting & Compliance

  • Key PIC for investor reporting – responsible for ensuring all monthly, quarterly, and yearly investor reporting requirements are met.
  • Prepare and consolidate reports required by investors and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with investor agreements and financial disclosure requirements.

4. Financial Process Improvement & BAU Support

  • Support standardization and efficiency improvements in financial processes across entities.
  • Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis at the Group level.
  • Support internal control compliance requirements, working closely with internal auditors.
  • Act as a liaison between Group Finance and CFMs, ensuring seamless execution of finance tasks.
  • Support any ad hoc request assign time to time by finance leaders.

Requirements

  • A recognized Accounting/Finance Degree or relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA etc.
  • At least 2-3 years of external audit experience with Big 4 Audit Firm or mid-tier audit firm.
  • At least 1-2 years of Finance managerial experience, managing a team.
  • Have direct experience in month end book closing, preparing and reviewing management reports, and improving finance related processes.
  • Analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, fast-learner and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both within and across business units.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and collaborate with business leaders.
