Menu Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create innovative and appealing menus.
- Oversee the execution of dishes, ensuring they meet the established quality standards and specifications.
Kitchen Management:
- Assist in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the kitchen.
Quality Control:
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Training and Development:
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques and best practices.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment to enhance team skills.
Inventory and Cost Management:
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to control food costs and minimize wastage.
Kitchen Hygiene and Sanitation:
- Enforce strict hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with the kitchen team and other departments.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and communicate any issues or improvements in kitchen operations.
Adaptability:
- Be prepared to step in and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling various tasks and responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,000.71 - RM4,200.78 per month
