As a Staff Engineer - Packaging at B. Braun you will play a vital role in….
The Staff Engineer Intelligent Automation Packaging is responsible to ensure successful execution and delivery of engineering projects involving degrees of automation and new manufacturing technologies, for the areas within scope of accountability. The engineering process for equipment projects is followed to specify equipment, to subsequently source capable suppliers as well as to track and supervise the machine built (System Engineering main process). This function will closely collaborate with the equipment projects team in assessing identified technology suppliers regarding the maturity of proposed manufacturing processes. The holder is crucial for collaborating with R&D regarding new products within the combined product and process development process described in the BBMAG IMS process 5-2-02 (Development PCP).
- Determining the core aspects and success criteria for automation solutions in the area of packaging. Responsible for the technical leadership of one or more engineers in the same thematic field according to the Corporate Rules of Governance.
- Responsible to develop User’s Requirement Specification (URS) and Functional Specification (FS)
- Defining and accomplishing projects in the area of production process automation for packaging solutions in co-operation with internal and external suppliers.
- Pro-active collaboration in the global CoC and the related sub-CoC group (Center of Competence). Develop suitable strategies to execute governance over the core process within the area of regional responsibility defined for the BTC-AP BMI.
- Collaborate with R&D to promote the simultaneous engineering process for combined product and process development with the aim of generating manufacturable new products in accordance with the CoE’s and division’s needs.
- Conduct early evaluations of manufacturing technology suppliers in APAC region which would enhance B. Braun manufacturing capabilities, especially in the area of innovative automation technologies around the packaging processes. Provide training concepts and execution recommendations for technically skilled workers, to be implemented by a technical training center.
