The Protégé – Business Development role is designed for an individual eager to learn and grow within the field of business development. This position will provide the opportunity to work closely with senior business development professionals to gain hands-on experience in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and assisting in market research and strategy development. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, proactive individual with a passion for business growth and a desire to build a successful career in business development.

  • Market Research & Analysis:

Assist in conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and potential markets.
Gather and analyze data on competitors, industry trends, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making.
Provide regular reports on market conditions and trends to the business development team.

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

Support the team in identifying and reaching out to potential clients or partners.
Assist in maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term business growth.
Participate in client meetings and discussions to understand their needs and offer potential solutions.
Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals, and contracts.

  • Lead Generation & Networking:

Contribute to lead generation efforts by identifying and qualifying potential business opportunities.
Help manage the CRM system to track leads, interactions, and follow-up tasks.
Attend networking events, industry conferences, or business functions to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.

  • Sales Support & Strategy Development:

Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and campaigns.
Support the team in preparing and delivering sales pitches, presentations, and proposals to prospective clients.
Help track sales metrics and KPIs to evaluate performance and effectiveness of business development efforts.

  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Work closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
Collaborate with senior business development managers to refine strategies and tactics for growing the business.

  • Administrative & Organizational Support:

Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and organizing materials for pitches or client interactions.
Maintain and update databases, client information, and project tracking tools.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 per month
