  • Procurement Management:

Oversee the purchasing process for all construction materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and quality assurance.
Maintain and review inventory levels to avoid shortages and ensure continuity of supply.

  • Vendor and Supplier Relations:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Ensure suppliers meet quality standards and delivery deadlines.

  • Budget and Cost Control:

Monitor and manage the procurement budget, ensuring purchasing activities align with overall project budget goals.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.
Track purchase orders and invoice approvals in line with financial controls.

  • Project Coordination and Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to understand material requirements and project timelines.
Ensure the timely procurement of materials in line with project schedules to avoid delays.
Assist with the coordination of logistics and storage of materials.

  • Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to project requirements.

  • Market Research:

Stay informed of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new suppliers to ensure the best options for procurement.
Identify emerging technologies and products to enhance construction efficiency.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

Supervise and provide guidance to purchasing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of the purchasing team.
