JOB SUMMARY :

As a Product Engineer, you will assist in the design, development, and improvement of products, ensuring they meet quality, performance, and customer requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to support product lifecycle activities from concept to production. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet technical, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and drive the product lifecycle, from initial concept to production and market launch.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Analyze product performance and work on continuous improvement efforts for both existing and new products.
  • Conduct risk analysis, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and other risk management activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure product design and development are aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure all product specifications and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Lead the resolution of technical challenges and issues that arise during the product development and production process.
  • Work closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality, cost control, and efficient production processes.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks relevant to personal skills as required by the business.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with product design, prototyping, or testing (internships or academic projects count).
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes and quality control is a plus.
  • Experience using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA) is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and production processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and work on multiple projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
