Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and executing instrumentation and control systems, particularly in the context of water treatment plants. You will collaborate with project teams, ensure technical compliance, and contribute to the effective implementation of control and instrumentation systems throughout various project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project specifications to ensure control and instrumentation equipment meets contract requirements.
Prepare and approve instrumentation and control deliverables, including wiring diagrams, equipment lists, and data sheets.
Create material requests and evaluate bids for control and instrumentation equipment.
Develop engineering standards, procedures, and guidelines for control and instrumentation systems.
Monitor project costs, progress, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Attend technical meetings and provide responses to client feedback.
Support plant start-up activities and provide on-site troubleshooting for control and instrumentation systems.
Offer technical support to the sales team and provide estimates for instrumentation systems.
Advise engineers and Project Managers on instrumentation and control system design and project execution.
Ensure adherence to company health and safety guidelines during project execution.
Perform instrumentation and control engineering tasks for water treatment plants, including the design, installation, and troubleshooting of control systems.
Key Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in control and instrumentation engineering, with exposure to water treatment plants or similar industries.
Strong knowledge of control and instrumentation system design, reviewing technical drawings, and documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of instrumentation systems for water treatment plants is preferred.
Fluent in English (both speaking and writing).
Salary Range:
MYR 2,500 - 4,000 per month.
