Campbell Malaysia is the Regional Hub for The Arnott’s Group Asia Business Unit. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the organization leads the strategy & direction to ensure that The Arnott’s Group has a geographical footprint across Total Asia.
Campbell Malaysia also supports the region by supplying locally manufactured and marketed brands such as Campbell’s soup, Prego pasta sauces as well as Kimball & Cheong Chan sauces. Asia’s extended range of consumer food brands also include TST, Swanson, GoodTime & Nyam Nyam.
They join The Arnott’s Group’s portfolio of brands like Aussie legends Tim Tam & Shapes as well as New Zealand’s favorite Farm Bake Cookies to drive presence in Asia.
Position based in Petaling Jaya.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to develop, lead and implement packaging for new or improved products and processes, line extensions, enablers, business continuity and continuous improvement initiatives including plant and machine equipment changes. Supports/coordinates all relevant trials, shelf life and sensory.
- Responsible to lead or support as subject matter expert in key packaging projects, often driving and coordinating cross functional teams including suppliers to deliver the committed business objectives. Advise and contribute to Project packaging scopes, quality and plant troubleshooting.
- Create, maintain and secure all technical documentation, design of experiments, label keyline and complete packaging validation reports.
- Provides coaching and supervision to a team of Technologist(s) and Technician(s) to promote engagement and continuous behavioral, technical and leadership development.
- Proactively develops self in Packaging Technology theory and practice. Brings new materials and technologies to the business that can enhance the NPD program or improve existing products/Packaging value. Keep abreast with regulatory, industry and market trends related with packaging.
- Proactively strengthen cross-functional team partnerships – Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance.
Requirements:
- A minimum qualification of Bachelor degree majoring in Packaging Technology, Materials Science, Engineering, Food Science or equivalent subject.
- Minimum 4 years product development experience as packaging engineer / technologist / executive or minimum 5 years working experience in packaging manufacturing industry / R&D.
- Has a good understanding / knowledge of packaging technology principles, packaging machinery, various packaging component (can, glass / plastic bottle & laminate film), food packaging and Manufacturing/Logistics systems.
- Problem solving, decision making and dealing with ambiguity are key skills. An ability to think creatively and potentially find opportunities for innovation within current processes is highly desirable.
- Skilled to read and write technical report, drawing / keyline, design of experiments and packaging specification.
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English both verbal and written.
- Good Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Competent with MS Office applications, BPCS or BOM system, basic financial costings.
