Key Responsibilities:
1. WWTP Operations:
a. Ensure that WWTP equipment is functioning well and operating within desired parameters.
b. Read and interpret data from flow meters and other gauges to determine equipment efficiency.
c. Review operational data and adjust treatment methods as needed.
d. Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and upper management regarding operations and plant conditions.
e. Perform wastewater in-house testing and prepare samples for external testing.
f. Maintain logs, records, and reports of WWTP activities.
g. Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain safety and efficiency.
2. WWTP Maintenance:
a. Troubleshoot and monitor equipment for potential failures, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
b. Execute preventive maintenance programs to optimize WWTP performance and minimize downtime.
c. Monitor project installations, including WWTP improvements, upgrades, and automation equipment.
d. Assist and supervise external vendors and contractors for specialized services, equipment procurement, and technical support.
e. Monitor and analyze equipment downtime trends, providing insights for improvement.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
a. Ensure that treated discharge water meets regulatory specifications (Standard A).
b. Ensure proper labeling, packaging, handling, and storage of scheduled waste in compliance with DOE guidelines.

d. Maintain compliance with all relevant WWTP codes, regulations, and safety standards in the operation and maintenance of the WWTP.
4. Plant Water Supply System Management:
a. Monitor SAINS main water supply, tank levels, and report any water shortages or triggered low-level alarms.
b. Inspect water quality visually and conduct backwashing as required.
c. Ensure all water pumps are functioning properly and report their status.
d. Schedule and oversee the cleaning of water tanks and conduct bi-weekly inspections of tank seals, updating checklists accordingly.
e. Regularly check, clean, and replace water filters when necessary.
Qualification/ Experience :
- Certified Environmental Professionals in the Operation of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (CePIETSO)
- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, in Chemical/Environmental Engineering/Science
- Strong technical understanding of IETS
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a Waste Water Treatment Plant
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SAP
