Model Builder

Position Summary:
Model Builder is responsible for assisting Model Builder team in replicating, installing and maintaining Miniland and parkwide LEGO models. Model Builder is also will be responsible to perform cleaning works to ensure LEGO Models are always in good and presentable at all times. You are to work amicably with other Model Builders to ensure the models are maintained and in a presentable condition to meet/exceed company’s KPI standard.
You will have the ability to communicate, interact and support your team members and superior in the department by exhibiting your best practices that aligned with the Merlin core values. You will also be required to exemplify your best behavior and work well with other team members in the department/organization and to carry out assignments that are delegated by your superior in a timely manner.
Scope and Responsibilities:
· Keeps both guest and Model Citizen safety the # 1 priority. Accountable for proactively maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for park guests and employees utilizing resources from local and state resources, and Security/Loss Prevention.
· Model Builder is to follow the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it.
· Comply with Company’s rules and regulations with respect to safety at work place.
· Replicate simple LEGO models in a timely and safe manner, following guidelines and training in production, techniques, documentation, standards and policies
· Communicate with the Model Shop Manager during the meeting or briefing and ask questions or challenges arise.
· Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times.
· Ensure that tools, machines and all other company equipment are kept clean and in good working order.
· Keep the Miniland and Parkwide LEGO Models always perfect in shape for our LEGOLAND guests.
· Responsible to comply with all the health and safety requirements in terms of chemical handling such as PPE, SOP, Risk Assessments and other regulations required by local authorities.
· Completes the job in the most time-efficient manner.
· To attend daily briefing to team members on model building and related works need to be carried out.
· Helping other Model Shop teams in terms of cleaning, resetting and maintenance aspects when necessary.
· Follows established maintenance program, including emergency requirements.
· To replicate and install Minilander and vehicle for Miniland.
· Responsible to perform model cleaning works.
· Perform or assist any special tasks as and when required.
Background and Experience:
· Experience is not necessary although some knowledge in LEGO model is preferable.
· Ability to replicate simple / basic model.
· To have a keen interest in LEGO model building.
· Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
Education:
Candidate must possess at least SPM or Certificate for any vocational or technical skill courses. Candidates who graduated with an artistic educational background (e.g. creative arts, modeling, graphic design, animation, multimedia, etc.) would have an added advantage.
Additional Information:
· Malaysian.
· Fully vaccinated (14 days after second dose).
· Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings & weekends to support park operations.
