  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Position: Senior Data Scientist

Reporting to: Project Director, Information Technology

Salary: Up to RM10,000

Location: PJ - 15 minutes' walk from LRT Asia Jaya

Job responsibilities:

  • To lead a team of Data Scientist towards achieving the company’s strategic objectives and business goals;
  • Utilise statistical techniques and tools to develop, implement, and enhance data models and algorithms to support decision-making processes and predictive outcomes;
  • To filter and cleanse data to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the reporting database and corresponding reports;
  • Develop and implement data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Develop and maintain tools to monitor the performance of data models and algorithms, continuously refining these tools to improve data accuracy and efficiency;
  • Actively collaborate with business coordinators, programmers, software developers, and the management to identify areas for improvements, to propose system modifications, and to develop data governance strategies; and
  • Manage and maintain the master database, including the creation, updates, and deletion, while ensuring all data is well organised and well presented in a readable and useful format.

Job requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent with at least 2 years of related experience;
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of data statistics and have solid experience using statistical tools packages for data analysis, such as Excel, R, Python, or other analytics or data mining packages;
  • Have solid experience of supporting data structures, understanding dependencies, and managing and executing data transformation;
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Able to demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, using creative approaches to tackle complex data challenges and enable to deliver practical solutions;
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting;
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer oriented; and
  • Have good time management skills, a good team player and be able to proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
