Event/VC Engineer - (250000B2)
- Oversee daily operations in support of event management and event systems, as well as video conferencing endpoints for internal VIPs, stakeholders, and employees.
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with employees and backend support teams to ensure an excellent experience.
- Include maintaining conferencing and audio-visual systems, supporting event systems such as Crestron control systems, Cisco video conferencing, switchers, Extron products, Biamp, QSC, and DANTE Audio devices, as well as other DSPs and audio-visual mixers or control systems.
- Candidates should have experience in live event support, particularly for hybrid events, and be able to grasp streaming concepts.
- Familiarity with simple system line diagrams or schematics, as well as a basic understanding of network structures—especially AV networks—is essential.
- The ability to troubleshoot system errors independently is also required.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting video conferencing room systems (WebEx, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) is necessary
- Provide vendor support experience to resolve issues and replace defective or broken products promptly.
- Strong customer support skills, particularly at the VIP and executive levels, are crucial.
- Able to comprehend simple system design concepts and effectively communicate these ideas to customers, negotiate event setup requirements, and manage straightforward system projects while collaborating with colleagues and vendors.
- A flexible mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment are essential.
Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or IT is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of system integration experience.
- Relevant audio-visual certifications from Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, or Sennheiser are desirable.
- Candidates should have proven hands-on troubleshooting skills in audio-visual systems
- Be self-motivated, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are essential
- Capacity to follow processes and quickly learn new technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of networking is a plus, as is familiarity with SIP phones and Teams phones.
