Summary:

The Lead Front-End Developer is responsible for leading a front-end development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end solutions. The developer will collaborate with stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and manage Agile development processes.

Job Responsibilitie:

Analyze and Perform Development & Coding

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform coding, development, and code reviews to ensure best practices.
  • Utilize React.js, React Native, Angular, and Flutter for scalable applications.
  • Design and implement clean front-end architecture for web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of front-end systems.

Team Leadership & Project Management

  • Lead a team of front-end developers, mentor junior engineers, and enforce best practices.
  • Manage Agile development processes, including running scrums and sprint planning.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work with stakeholders, business analysts, and backend teams to ensure alignment on requirements.
  • Identify bottlenecks and work complications and lead the team in finding viable solutions.
  • Document project requirements and maintain development guidelines.

Quality Assurance & Performance Optimization

  • Ensure clean architecture and maintainable codebases.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
  • Address governance and compliance requirements in the IT landscape.

Mentorship & Advocacy

  • Provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
  • Ensure high coding quality standards and adoption of modern front-end frameworks.
  • Encourage best practices in software development and change management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or IT-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in enterprise or regulatory BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) industry (MUST)
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with React.js, React Native, JavaScript, and server-side technologies (MUST)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a development team and managing front-end projects (MUST)
  • Advantages: Understanding of backend technologies and system integration.
  • Advantages: If part of Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) membership

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
