As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a key role in providing end-user support, monitoring and optimizing multiple applications, and contributing to the quality assurance process. You will work closely with senior team members, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure applications meet business needs and perform efficiently. You will also assist in process improvements and leverage automation to improve day-to-day operations.

You Will

Application Management & Support

  • Provide end-user support for application-related issues, including troubleshooting, resolving incidents related to application performance, functionality and user access.
  • Monitor and support multiple applications, identifying, diagnosing and resolving issue.
  • Take corrective actions and timely escalation of problems and issue to senior.
  • Collaborate with 3PP and infrastructure teams to resolve system-level problems and improve application performance.
  • Assist and support in identifying and resolving issue promptly.
  • Assisting in identifying and implement application improvements to enhance performance, reduce downtime, and increase user satisfaction.
  • Leverage automation to drive efficiency and to improve day to day work

Application Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Support the testing phase by reviewing test cases, conducting system tests, and ensuring meets business requirements.
  • Participate in testing phase and ensure issues are resolved before production deployment.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work with senior to resolve complex issues and learn advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Work with senior to communicate system changes, updates and enhancements to stakeholders efficiently

Documentation

  • Assisting in create and timely update system document including operation guide, user guide, process related across applications.
  • Ensure documentation is comprehensive, clear, and accessible to end-users and technical teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in identifying and implementing application improvements aimed at enhancing performance, reducing downtime, and increasing user satisfaction.
  • Advocate for process improvements and efficiencies across the application lifecycle.

You Have

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in IT related position supporting Financial Systems & Functions
  • Possess Diploma/Degree in computer science or a related field
  • Good verbal & written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Basic understanding of application architectures, databases, and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in system modeling tools(e.g., UML, Visio, etc)
  • Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and basic querying.
  • Experience in retail industry is preferred.
  • Able to stand-by for major IT incidents or activities during non-business hours.
