A manufacturing bakery production planner is responsible for optimizing the production process to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within a bakery, from raw material procurement to finished product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting: Analyzing sales data and market trends to predict product demand.
Production Planning: Developing detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, considering factors like labor, equipment, and raw material availability.
Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Resource Allocation: Effectively allocating labor, equipment, and machinery to maximize production capacity and efficiency.
Data Analysis: Tracking production metrics and using data to identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Implementing strategies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
Coordination: Collaborating with sales, marketing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
