Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting fiber tests, troubleshooting network faults, and ensuring optimal connectivity for customers. This role requires hands-on experience with fiber splicing, testing equipment, and network maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to field locations to diagnose and repair fiber optic network faults.
  • Perform fiber splicing, terminations, and cable repairs as needed.
  • Use OTDR, power meters, and other testing tools to ensure fiber performance.
  • Assist customers and stakeholders with network connectivity issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent service disruptions.
  • Respond to emergency outages and coordinate with teams for rapid resolution.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, repair actions, and network status.
  • Follow safety protocols and industry regulations while working on fiber installations.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
  • Candidates with experience in Telecommunications, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), or Fiber Optic Infrastructure companies are highly preferred.
  • Must be willing to work in Johor.
