  • Implement best practices and new technologies in casting methods, such as automation, lean manufacturing principles, or advanced casting techniques, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure effective communication within the team and across departments, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Analyze and optimize casting processes, including mold design, pouring, cooling, and finishing steps, to minimize defects, waste, and production delays.

4. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Ensure that casting products meet quality specifications by working closely with the quality control team to implement testing and inspection protocols.
  • Monitor casting products for defects such as porosity, dimensional issues, or surface imperfections, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) and customer-specific requirements related to casting materials, designs, and finished products

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that all staff adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling hot materials, heavy equipment, and chemicals.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement measures to address any safety risks or hazards in the casting process

6. Cost Management & Budgeting

  • Manage casting budgets, ensuring that production costs (materials, labor, energy) are kept within established limits without compromising quality.
  • Track and control costs related to casting materials, maintenance, and labor, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

7. Production Scheduling & Coordination

  • Plan and schedule production runs based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Work closely with the production planner to allocate resources effectively and meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Manage lead times and ensure that the casting facility can meet production deadlines, adjusting schedules as necessary for changes in demand or unforeseen delays.

8. Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution

  • Identify and address production issues, such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or production delays, to prevent disruptions in the casting process.
  • Work with engineering teams to resolve any technical issues related to molds, equipment, or casting techniques.
