Responsibilities:
Incident Reporting & Investigation:
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes.
- Help prepare incident reports and track follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support the development of incident prevention strategies and safety improvement plans
- Assist in reviewing emergency response procedures and contributing to incident prevention strategies.
Risk Management:
- Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification processes across the organization.
- Assist in evaluating workplace risks related to health, safety, and environmental factors.
- Participate in safety inspections and audits to identify non-conformities and areas for improvement..
- Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and control measures.
- Help maintain a risk register and track the progress of risk reduction initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist HSSEQ KL team in ensuring compliance with locl and international HSE regulations.
- Support in updating legal compliance registers and tracking changes in HSE laws and regulations.
- Assist in conducting internal gap analysis against HSE regulatory requirements.
- Help maintain and update HSE documentation, including policies, procedures, and records aglign with industry standars.
HSE Management System:
- Assist in maintaining and updating HSE documentation, manuals, and policies in line with company Intergrated Management System (IMS) & ISOs Standard (ISO45001:2018, ISO14001:2015 & ISO 9001:2015)
- Assist in implementing HSE performance tracking and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Participate in the preparation for internal & external HSE audits.
- Support in the organization of HSE campaigns, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
- Support in the development of HSE culture enhancement programs.
Internship Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a CGPA of 3.30 and above.
- Proficient in writing and communicating in English.
- Required skill(s): Good coordination skills, project management, excellent interpersonal skills, and positive learning attitude with a continuous improvement mindset and proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Duration of internship: Minimum of 6 months, preferably able to start in April onwards.
