Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

  • Manage and coordinate warehouse manpower planning while controlling overtime costs and ensuring compliance with local labor regulations (SMETA).
  • Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory receiving, storage, issuing, and returns to maintain high levels of inventory record accuracy (IRA).
  • Ensure efficient warehouse capacity planning to accommodate business needs.
  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory to prevent damage, cross-contamination, spoilage, or loss.
  • Conduct regular stock takes cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize SAP and other inventory management tools to streamline operations, monitor transactions, and enhance efficiency.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage the shipment of finished goods to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Handle complaints related to shipments and resolve issues effectively.
  • Liaise with third-party warehouse providers and transporters for inventory storage and truck arrangements.
  • Work closely with ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) vendors for system maintenance and support.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Implement best practices and process improvement initiatives to enhance FIFO, FEFO, and IRA performance.
  • Develop and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize discrepancies and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic Gemba walks to verify compliance with procedures and ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure that warehouse equipment and facilities are well-maintained and fully operational to support smooth operations.
  • Drive training and development programs for inventory staff in alignment with the annual training plan

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with FSQ, GWP, HACCP, OSHA, and SMETA regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System in alignment with ISO9001:2000 standards.
  • Ensure workplace safety and adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in any field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in warehouse and inventory management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in inventory and material management, warehouse operations, and compliance with FSQ, HACCP, OSHA, and ISO standards.
