Responsible for managing, planning and executing the company’s procurement activities, including soliciting and clarifying sourcing requirements from sales team, sourcing and liaising with multi-vendors, and assisting Head of Procurement in guiding team members, to fulfill project deliveries that meet schedule, budget and specifications. Detailed activities comprising:
Responsible for managing, planning and executing the company’s procurement activities, including soliciting and clarifying sourcing requirements from sales team, sourcing and liaising with multi-vendors, and assisting Head of Procurement in guiding team members, to fulfill project deliveries that meet schedule, budget and specifications. Detailed activities comprising:
- Planning, normalizing and consolidating orders, to achieve full cost optimization.
- Sourcing, evaluating, comparing and negotiating prices from multi-vendors to obtain the most ideal supply options that also include quality and price guarantee period.
- Monitor projects schedule and ensuring timely fulfillment of relevant stocks
- Close coordination with logistics and warehouse operation team to plan real-time replenishment of common selling items.
- Periodical evaluation and review of procurement item’s price competitiveness.
- Initiates face-to-face engagements with strategic principals to establish and maintain business relationship as well as to conduct due diligence.
- Provide real-time dashboard on fulfillment status and trending to sales team, and also monthly management report.
- Experience and Education: minimum 3 years working experience in capacity as procurement officer, with at least a Diploma (or equivalent) in any general business majors.
- Personality: sense of ownership and responsibility, being proactive, details-oriented, logical thinking and effective planning, being a team player, also being firm and persuasive, and being honest. Good telephony and email writing skills, as well as good interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Language: proficient in English and Mandarin (oral and written), Bahasa Malaysia (basic oral).
- Travelling: willing to make short stints (up to 1 week) of overseas trips for purpose of sourcing vendors.
- IT Literacy: familiar with Microsoft office Excel and Word, and good to know SAP Business One.
