Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and liaise with external auditors for statutory audits.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage tax computations, SST submissions, and liaise with tax authorities when necessary.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing financial budgets and forecasts to support business planning.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Implement and enhance internal accounting policies and financial controls.
- Work closely with other departments, including sales and procurement, to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in audit.
- Proven experience handling a full set of accounts in retail, FMCG, or luxury industries.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and SST compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) are a plus.
