About the Job
This position will be responsible to handle and manage the group’s full spectrum of financial activities, overseeing the assigned accounting team of respective countries and improve financial controlling and reporting requirements. Additionally, you will provide financial advisory to various Units and other internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
• Oversee all local and regional entities’ finance matters and operations across assigned countries in the group
• Manage and review monthly and year-end financial closing and management reporting
• Work closely with respective Finance teams to ensure compliance and transparency in financial reporting
• Providing financial advice and proactive support to the management and business operations
• Overseas group cash flow management, risk management and tax matters
• Manage and review group transfer pricing documentation
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
• Review group financial and treasury policies
• Recommends and develops policies, procedures and systems to meet company objectives
• Up keeping of the internal control system and corporate governance; and continuously seeking process improvements to achieve efficiency and effectiveness finance process
• Liaising with external auditors and tax agents, including impairment assessment and attend to audit queries Group Consolidation and reporting
• Prepare group consolidation report according to IFRS
• Handle monthly and quarterly group financial analysis plus group audit queries
• Assist in intenral controls, additional reporting and other statutory group reporting as requested
Budgeting and Forecasting
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting process for the group
• Support Corporate team in group overall tax and other financial budgeting and forecasting System improvements and implementation
• Lead finance team in system improvement and implementation
• Work closely with respective teams for new process initiatives and automation to improve overall work processes
Others
• Act as a business partner and engage with other stakeholders to offer insights and points of view
• Participate in any investment projects which include mergers and acquisition, capital restructuring, etc.
• People management by providing coaching, mentoring and developing skills to the finance members
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications (Chartered Accountant/CPA is at added advantage)
• At least 10 years of experience in financial and accounting with at least 5 years in regional and managerial role
• Experience with ERP systems implementation
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements
• Candidate must have strong analytical skills, operationally hands-on, highly motivated and have a problem-solving attitude
• An analytical mind, commercial and business acumen, with a keen eye for details
